Flabelus Live at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2025

On the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the runway in Spain, Flabelus presents its first fashion show, paying tribute to the cultural legacy that has shaped our identity. We celebrate the tireless mark of shoemaking tradition in Spain through the fusion of two fundamental pillars: Flabelus’ artisanal excellence and traditional Spanish dance.

👉 Watch it live on Instagram @flabelus at 6 PM CEST.

Act I: The Shoes

Meticulously crafted by expert hands; each stitch is a testament to centuries of inherited knowledge. These shoes do more than accompany footsteps: they set the rhythm, evoke memories, and perpetuate the spirit of Spanish tradition.
The innocence and strength of a young girl resonate across the floor, in time with the tapping of her heels.

Act II: The Musicians

Strings, winds, percussion… each instrument reverberates with echoes of tradition.
Hands traverse the notes with precision, showing that music, like craftsmanship, is born from attention to detail.
But what is it that we hear? It’s not the music; it’s a footwork, the Spanish zapateado.

Act III: The Dancers

The dance rises, steps meet the pages.
Written knowledge and art in motion intertwine as one version of the legacy.
The footwear finds its voice through the immortal echo of Spanish footwork; thus, every heel strike resonates like a living word, and every turn becomes another chapter of our story.

Act IV: The Sewing Machine

A young girl dances with castanets, merging with her shadow in a single movement.
Yet one might ask: isn’t the sewing machine the hidden echo of those castanets? Both the girl and the craftswoman find in their hands the instrument to create sound and legacy. In this way, these seemingly distant figures are united in the same gesture: the rhythm of tradition.
The sewing machine resonates with the unmistakable clatter of the castanets-two faces of the same heritage. The stitches intertwine with the rhythm; the artisan’s hands uphold and perpetuate tradition.

Act V: The Magical World

A universe where the real and the imagined meet.
The seamstresses reveal themselves as dancers of another kind: their hands trace choreographies, weaving stories with the precision of a dance. Each stitch is a beat; each piece of fabric, a movement. In this way, sewing and dance merge on stage, showing that both arts share the craft of shaping, rhythm, and meaning in tradition.
Tradition and fantasy coexist; Flabelus transforms the stage into a world of infinite magic.
